New Sobriety:  One of the major dilemmas that men will face in new recovery is the challenge of staying sober as they attempt to get sober alone, or continue sobriety in an unsafe environment. Men  who live in a positive and supportive sober living environment, are more able to develop the skills necessary to support and maintain a lifestyle free of drugs and/or alcohol abuse. We believe it is also important to learn to past times that are fun and enjoyable in sobriety.

 

Addiction Recovery Program:  As a private recovery program and sober community, originally founded in 1995 in Orange County, California - Beach Landing Recovery's focus remains and continues to be one that addresses the needs of adult men who are committed to their new recovery lifestyle. We meet the needs of our client's by continued support for our employees and area support groups.

 

Beach Landing Recovery Philosophy:   BLR for men remains steadfast in its philosophy of educating with a social model approach, that emphasizes and promotes shared responsibilities with democratic self-governance, peer support, and fellowship while encompassing the principals of the 12-Step Programs such as Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotics Anonymous (AA/NA). Regular attendance at AA/NA group meetings is required. Living in Recovery:  Beach Landing Recovery houses men together in different stages of their recovery which continues to create a very strong peer support and accountability group. The program strictly adheres to the 12-Step programs philosophy, stressing and expecting resident participation and abstinence of all mind-altering substances.

 

Staying Accountable:  Random drug and alcohol tests are administered. All residents are expected to be employed or seeking employment while maintaining a life that is conducive to recovery. This can also include being an active student at an educational institution such as college. When accepting Beach Landing Recovery as a program for sobriety, clients enter into a contract agreeing not to drink or use drugs while living at the house. Relapse, acts of violence, sexual misconduct and immoral behaviors are reasons for immediate termination.
